The Peace Education Centre
The Peace Education Centre will serve as a place for training community leaders, women and youths, students and teachers, farmers groups, and small business entrepreneurs in various aspects of development, peace building, human rights, gender issues, business management, and other community health-related issues.
There will be a Community Resource Centre at the centre that will serve over 100,000 users annually, primarily: students, teachers, nongovernmental organizations, and other local organizations working in the rural areas of the Bombali and Tonkolili districts, as well as children and parents of the local villages. Computer classes are already underway, students learning basics computer skill and improving their technological development. We currently have over $20,000 USD worth of books in several fields of study donated by universities, colleges, and individuals in North America.
International Partnership: The cdpeace centre will also provide a space for International Organizations and individuals that are interested in promoting Development and Peace to visit and collaborate.
